You’ll choose your vessel, blend your own scent from our curated fragrance library, and pour your candle with support from our team. Each guest takes home one finished candle.

The full experience takes about 30-45 minutes. Your candle will need 1.5 hours to cure before it’s ready to take home.

Each reservation includes one candle, but you're welcome to pour additional candles during your session as time allows. Extra candles are priced per vessel.

No. All vessels provided have been carefully tested to ensure that your candle burns optimally and safely. We offer a variety of colors so don’t worry—we promise to send you home with something you’ll love!

Yes. If you can’t wait for it to set, we’ll hold it for you. Just be sure to return before the end of the week.

We understand that things happen, but we cannot hold candles for more than 2 weeks after your session. If you'd like us to ship your candle instead, we’re happy to do so for a $10 flat fee. Please email hello@melanin-flame.com to arrange shipping. Unclaimed candles may be discarded or donated.

Absolutely. If you'd rather have your candle shipped home, just let us know during your visit. You'll be asked to provide a shipping address and our team will send you tracking as soon as it ships. Shipping is a $10 flat fee.

Yes—with supervision. We welcome guests of all ages, but anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

We don’t currently offer food or drinks on-site. For walk-ins or small groups, we suggest grabbing a bite or a drink at one of our neighbors in Over-the-Rhine before or after your session.

All bookings are final. If something comes up, we’re happy to reschedule your reservation once or transfer it to a friend. For private candle pour parties, while deposits are non-refundable, if the cancellation policy is followed, the remaining balance of your deposit can be applied toward individual candle-pour sessions or pre-made items in-store.
